At
Haines Gallery -
David Maisel: Oblivion. On a day when I was more depressed about work than I have been in a long time, where I feel like they've tied my hands and thrown me into the deep to watch me thrash and struggle and ultimately drown, when I'm hunched over in the bathroom stall trying to keep my tears quiet, when I most could have used some photographs of destroyed earth as catharsis to soothe my head...That is exactly the day when it's most impossible to sneak out and go see said art. Of course. I'll try again tomorrow. Hit some more galleries and make it a bona fide Art Thursday. Dammit.
